 Welcome to Fairhaven High School Guidance

Welcome to the official webpage for the Fairhaven High School Guidance Department. We are pleased that you are seeking information about our department. We hope you will find this format a helpful and effect method to obtain information regarding some of the aspects of Fairhaven High School.

One of the goals of the FHS Guidance Department is to prepare our students for life beyond high school. To accomplish this we provide a wide range of support, information, encouragement and guidance that is tailored and specific to each student's academic year. For example during the fall much of the work we do with seniors is focused on the preparation and completion of college applications, however, with freshman at this time, we are concentrating on meeting and getting to know them. We are also looking to assist them with any problems that they may be having making the transition from middle school to the high school.

Throughout the year we offer several different presentations for students and parents/guardians. Some of these presentations are done by the guidance staff while in other instances the guidance staff brings in outside experts in such areas as financial aid or motivational speaking.

If you are a parent or guardian and want to know who your child's guidance counselor is, we divide students up according to where their last name falls in the alphabet. Please see the following list to find out who has been assigned to your child. Your child will usually have the same guidance counselor for the duration of their time at FHS.
