Fairhaven Public Schools NEASC Accreditation

NEASC Accreditation

Fairhaven Public Schools is the first school district in Massachusetts to receive full district-wide accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

The district received official notice of its successful accreditation on April 11, 2025.

What is NEASC?

NEASC stands for the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It is an independent organization that reviews and accredits schools and colleges to ensure they meet high standards of learning, leadership, and community engagement.

Accreditation from NEASC means our schools are recognized for excellence in education and a commitment to continuous improvement, helping prepare all students for success beyond graduation.

The Accreditation Process

The NEASC accreditation process included a comprehensive self-study by our staff, feedback from students and families, and an on-site visit by NEASC reviewers. Accreditation requires ongoing reflection and periodic reviews to ensure our schools maintain these high standards.
